Deb Madera, MEd, LMHC, NCC, NCSC, ACS, EAGALA Certified
Deb Madera servers as the Clinical Director and a therapist at Cultivate. Deb has a Masters of Education in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Massachusetts and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor. She also hold the distinction of Advanced Clinical Supervisor. Deb received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. Known for standing up for children’s rights and advocating for the best treatment possible, Deb has over 15 years with working with children and families. She sees each child and family as unique and strives to meet them where they are emotionally and developmentally and to help them move in a healthy and positive direction. She has experience with a wide range of needs and has treated hundreds of children with moderate to severe social and emotional issues. During her years in both a community mental health center and in public education, she grew to understand that our current approach to mental health was leaving some children and families with unmet needs.
Danielle Gagnon, M.A., LMHC
Expressive Arts Therapist
Danielle is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and holds a Master’s Degree in Expressive Therapies and Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Linguistics from Boston University. She has clinical experience working with children, adolescents, adults, groups, and families with a variety of presenting problems, including struggles with mental health, substance abuse, personality issues and relational challenges. As an Expressive Therapist, Danielle is resourceful and adept at applying a variety of expressive arts modalities to facilitate communication and work towards client goals. She encourages curiosity and playfulness in a person-centered approach that respects the lived experiences of each individual. Her cultural competency includes study abroad with dozens of home stays on 6 continents and outreach counseling in hundreds of client homes. As a lover of nature and animals, Danielle is delighted to share with clients the opportunity to deepen insight and connection through the metaphors available in all aspects of the farm and its surroundings.
Cassandra Breniser, M.A., LMHC

Cassie is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and holds a Master of Arts in Expressive Therapies with a specialization in Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Keene State College. She has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, elderly, groups, and families with a variety of presenting problems: including struggles in mental health, eating disorders, Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, suicidality, relationships & communication, crisis intervention, trauma, substance abuse, cultural competency, LGBTQ, depression and anxiety. As an expressive therapist, artist, musician, lover of nature and animals, Cassie is intermodal in her approach to therapy. She uses humor, flexibility, mindfulness and nonjudgmental curiosity to meet the client where they are at. Cassie believes that everyone is creative and it is the client’s individualized process that is at the heart of the work.
Amanda Taylor, EAGALA Certified
Amanda has worked as an equine specialist at a residential treatment center for at-risk youth with an emphasis on working with the center's autistic population. She has also taught adaptive riding lessons to individuals with a variety of physical and mental challenges. As the Girl Scouts of Utah equestrian director, she designed and implemented a new horsemanship program that was adaptable to girls of various needs and backgrounds. Amanda has been involved with horses ever since first being introduced to them at Hybid Farm, fourteen years ago. Amanda is CPR/First Aid/AED and Wilderness and Remote First Aid certified.
Andrew Lapin, M.S.,M.A., EAGALA Certified
Andrew Lapin, M.S., M.A. is the founder and creator of Cultivate. He holds a Masters degree from Northeastern University in Nonprofit Management and holds a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University New England. After spending years as a professional fundraiser across the country, Andrew saw a great unmet need within mental health and became dedicated to increasing access to affordable, effective, and specialized mental health services to as many individuals and families as possible. As a missionary in Eastern Europe, Andrew witnessed first-hand the healing power of the human animal connection and spent the next several years learning how to focus that power into Cultivate.
