Deb Madera, MEd, LMHC, NCC, NCSC, ACS, EAGALA Certified
Deb Madera servers as the Clinical Director and a therapist at Cultivate. Deb has a Masters of Education in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Massachusetts and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor. She also hold the distinction of Advanced Clinical Supervisor. Deb received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. Known for standing up for children’s rights and advocating for the best treatment possible, Deb has over 15 years with working with children and families. She sees each child and family as unique and strives to meet them where they are emotionally and developmentally and to help them move in a healthy and positive direction. She has experience with a wide range of needs and has treated hundreds of children with moderate to severe social and emotional issues. During her years in both a community mental health center and in public education, she grew to understand that our current approach to mental health was leaving some children and families with unmet needs.
Linley Frankel, LICSW
Linley is an Independently Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Linley holds a Master of Social Work from Simmons College and a Bachelor of Social Work from Siena College. Linley has clinical experience working with children and adolescents with a variety of mental health needs, including but not limited to substance abuse, PTSD, autism, attachment disorders, anxiety and depression. Linley is certified in traumatic stress studies and has extensive training in the ARC Model (Attachment, Regulation Competency). Linley is skilled in supporting adolescents navigate interpersonal relationships as they strengthen their self-identity through exploration of their competencies. Linley utilizes a strengths-based perspective and is successful in adapting her approach to meet the individual needs of her clients. Linley is passionate about the use of animal-assisted interventions to support individuals in strengthening their ability to relate to others and develop coping strategies to manage daily stressors.
Amanda Taylor, EAGALA Certified
Amanda has worked as an equine specialist at a residential treatment center for at-risk youth with an emphasis on working with the center's autistic population. She has also taught adaptive riding lessons to individuals with a variety of physical and mental challenges. As the Girl Scouts of Utah equestrian director, she designed and implemented a new horsemanship program that was adaptable to girls of various needs and backgrounds. Amanda has been involved with horses ever since first being introduced to them at Hybid Farm, fourteen years ago. Amanda is CPR/First Aid/AED and Wilderness and Remote First Aid certified.
Andrew Lapin, M.S.,M.A., EAGALA Certified
Andrew Lapin, M.S., M.A. is the founder and creator of Cultivate. He holds a Masters degree from Northeastern University in Nonprofit Management and holds a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University New England. After spending years as a professional fundraiser across the country, Andrew saw a great unmet need within mental health and became dedicated to increasing access to affordable, effective, and specialized mental health services to as many individuals and families as possible. As a missionary in Eastern Europe, Andrew witnessed first-hand the healing power of the human animal connection and spent the next several years learning how to focus that power into Cultivate.
